Meatball Burger Recipe

Meatball recipe:
500g beef mince
1 egg
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
3 tbsp olive oil
Sauce ingredients:
400g tinned diced tomatoes
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp tomato paste
Handful fresh basil
Salt and pepper

How To Make Meatball Burger :
- Mix together all meatball ingredients, except for the oil, into a bowl until well combined. Roll into tablespoon sized balls and set aside.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat, add meatballs and cook until browned.
- Add all other ingredients to pan and bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10-15mins allowing sauce to thicken. Taste seasoning and adjust to your liking.
To assemble meatball sub:
- Slice prepared roll in half, layer baby spinach, top with meatballs and some sauce, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and finish off with the top of the bun, secure with a burger skewer.
