Easy French Bread Recipe

Ingredients:
6 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 Tbsp castor sugar
2 and 1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp instant dry yeast
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 cups regular temperature water+ 1/2 cup boiling water
1 egg beaten for brushing on bread


How To Make Easy French Bread Recipe :
- In the bowl of a stand mixer add the flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Stir it around with a spatula. Pour in the oil, room temperature water, hot water. 
- Stir again with the spatula. Now attach the dough hook and let the machine knead the dough on medium speed for 2 minutes, till the dough some what gets together. Then shift the speed to the lowest and continue kneading the dough for 10 minutes. 
- Remove the dough on a lightly floured surface, divide it into 3 equal parts. Roll each part into a 9” by 13” rectangle, then roll it up like a jelly roll, pinching the ends to seal. Place the pinched side down and place them on a silicon lined large baking tray. 
- Side by side, in a slant, with a gap in between. Preheat your oven to 180C. Let it rise in a warm place uncovered for 30 minutes. Now make 3 slits on the top of each one of them with a sharp knife. Brush with the beaten egg and pop it into your hot oven for 30-40 minutes till nice and golden on top. 
- Remove and keep to cool. Once cooled slice and serve. Delicious homemade bread is ready
